Former Students Returning (students who are not enrolled for at least one semester and want to return to complete the degree) FSRs must submit an application following the appropriate application deadlines, and an official copy of their most recent Howard University transcript. These documents should be submitted in one complete application packet.
A non-refundable application fee of $75 is required only if you are changing your degree program
Some department admission committees may request a re-evaluation of the student’s academic records. Please contact the Director of Graduate Studies in your department regarding re-admission criteria.
You will receive notification once the Office of Educational Affairs evaluates the Department's recommendation.

The Board of Trustees of Howard University on September 24, 1983, adopted the following policy statement regarding applications for admission: "Applicants seeking admission to Howard University are required to submit accurate and complete credentials and accurate and complete information requested by the University. Applicants who fail to do so shall be denied admission. Enrolled students who as applicants failed to submit accurate and complete credentials or accurate and complete information on their application for admission shall be subject to dismissal when the same is made known, regardless of classification."
