Howard University and National Institutes of Health Partnership

Howard University graduate students and faculty in the Departments of Microbiology, Physiology and Biophysics, Communication Sciences and Disorders, Genetics and Human Genetics, and Pharmacology have the opportunity to participate in programs and research at NIH.

Goals

  • To provide an opportunity for NIDCD scientists to serve as adjunct faculty and on admissions and dissertation committees at Howard
  • To provide an opportunity for Howard University faculty in these same Departments to participate in programs and research at NIH.

 

Requirements

Students must have:

  • Letters of recommendation, including a letter of endorsement from the chair of the department in which the student is enrolled
  • A statement specifying particular interest in the Howard/NIDCD/DHHS program
  • A current curriculum vitae
  • Met requirements of the department

  •     Research in NIDCD laboratories
  •     Collaboration between Howard Departmental Faculty and NIH Researchers
