Speakers Bureau and Orate Partnership

Representatives of the Speakers Bureau of Howard University (SBHU) and Orate, Inc. have signed an agreement to jointly expand speaking opportunities for both organizations.

Orate, Inc.The Speakers Bureau of Howard University (SBHU) was established in 2013 to provide additional opportunities to showcase faculty research interests and expertise through both web-based and traditional lectures and seminars on a variety of platforms. In addition to the traditional opportunities, participants are available for online chats and webinars, as well as face-to-face lectures and seminars.

Orate is an online platform that facilitates finding, vetting, and booking public speakers. Its purpose is twofold:

  1. to make the task of finding quality speakers, with any size budget, quick and easy; and
  2. to assist speakers in more effectively marketing themselves, and getting them in front of the right audiences.

The SBHU-Orate agreement will provide additional exposure and revenue opportunities for Howard University faculty who are a part of SBHU and Orate. All faculty who are part of SBHU will have the option of signing on as speakers with Orate.
