Executive Director, Howard University Center for Urban Progress
Dr. Rodney D. Green serves as Executive Director of the Howard University Center for Urban Progress, a unit designed to strengthen the University's community service, urban research, and community development agenda at local, federal, and international levels. He has directed 44 projects with a value of over $8 million dollars over the last seven years in this capacity. He has served as a Howard University professor of urban economics for 25 years, authoring three scholarly books and over 40 journal articles. Professor Green received his undergraduate degree in politics and economics at YaleUniversity (magna cum laude) in 1970, and, after a tour of duty in the U.S. Army, went on to complete his M.A. and Ph.D. (1980) degrees in economics at American University.
