Su Yan, Associate Professor and Director of Graduate Studies | For being awarded the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Early Career Award recipient for his research on randomized algorithms for solving large-scale and multiscale problems in electromagnetics and multiphysics. The $875,000 award will span over the course of five years. Dr. Yan becomes the first faculty member at Howard University to receive the DOE Early Career Award. 

 

Troy Kerase, PhD Student, Social Psychology | On accepting a tenure-track assistant professor position in the Department of Psychology at Towson University, beginning in Fall 2025. His dissertation is entitled A Multi-Method Investigation of Intersectional Stereotyping Toward Black Gay Men.

 

Joslyn White, PhD Student, Communication, Culture, and Media | On being selected as a V-Tech Solutions, Inc. Fellow for summer for 2024. Her  research interests include media history, race and gender in media, Black television radio, and media studies, Black family and children depictions in media, and Black women depictions on cable news outlets.
