Off-Campus Tidbits | Dr. Walter Wilson, Jr
Howard University graduate alumni, Walter Wilson Jr., MD, MHA, is now the Chief Medical Officer at Cumberland Hall Hospital in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. He obtained three degrees from Howard University: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Master’s degree in Neuropsychology, and an MS degree in Anatomy.
Wilson went on to earn a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Minnesota. He then enrolled in medical school at Stony Brook University's Health Sciences Center and School of Medicine. Subsequently, he became an Adult Psychiatry Resident at the UC Health and, later, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellow at Vanderbilt University's Medical Center. After a few years as Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at HealthPoint Family Care (Covington, Kentucky) he was recently appointed as its Chief Medical Officer.
